"I am a registered nurse who’s in the midst of a once-in-a-century pandemic, burnt out from working long days, short staffed, overratio, and with no hazard pay. I was lost in what I wanted to do for my future—do I go back to school to get my masters? Should I leave my staff job for travel nursing? Christina helped me realize that I need to go back to the basics of self-care in order to become the best version of myself. By holding me accountable for my water intake, practicing gratitude, stretching, exercising, deep breathing, meditation, and so much more, I was able to handle my everyday stressors both at work and at home. Not only was I energetic and grateful to go to work, I also became more confident in my skills as a nurse. This newfound confidence helped me land a dream job as a Cath Lab RN - a dream that I didn’t realize truly was my dream until Christina helped me realize it.       "Before starting these sessions I had plans to achieve certain goals in my life but nothing was set in paper or put into action they were just thoughts. My husband and I were tired and overwhelmed with everything going on. We did not set time for ourselves or our relationship. I had put my health on the back burner and had gained a lot of unhealthy habits and a lot of weight. After completing these sessions I have been able to set realistic goals and actually work on implementing them. I have been able to have a work life balance! I have only worked extra at my per diem job and have not picked up at my full time job (even after they begged me lol). I have been able to help my girls by talking to them and spending time with them. Working with Christina was a breeze. She is very easy to work with and is very understanding. What I liked most about our coaching relationship is that she allowed me to speak and work through my own problems. She guided me and gave me ideas without telling me what to do. I have been able to implement a sleeping schedule for my children so my husband and I have been able to have more time together. I was also able to say no to work. 

I have discovered to literally breathe. Just take a moment each day and dedicate it to breathing. I have learned to set goals and boundaries with my kids. After implementing sleeping times I feel like I am more in control of my life. I did not imagine how  such a small change could impact my life. My husband and I have time to just unwind and enjoy time together. I have also been able to prioritize sleep and well being for me. I am forcing myself to drink water and stretch and hopefully soon I can start actual exercise. I recommend anyone in need of change or balance in their lives." Mayra M., 33

    "My experience working with you was amazing. I didn't know what to expect with nurse coaching, but every Friday after our sessions I felt more grounded and had a "hell yeah" attitude. I liked the most about our coaching relationship the fact that you were very easy to talk to and you had compassion for the things I would talk to you about. You were very motivating. 

     During our coaching I finally made it to a meeting after I hadn't gone in over 6 months. I went and got a gym membership. I completed my application for my dream job and after one of our sessions I actually got it done and sent it. I made it through the interview and am now in the hiring process. Instead of coasting through my days and thinking of my goals I am actually taking small steps to get where I want to be.

Some new insights I have learned are different ways of working through my fear and anxiety. Which is so important for me because those two things have held me back from growing and going forward. I've learned to not be so hard on myself. Also how to break a goal down so it is more achievable like breaking a goal into smaller steps puts me in the right direction.
